Diary - Page 92 - Culture and History without Borders: Success in Diversity, Diversity in Success - Project chronicle - Part 1 91 WORKSHOP 12 – Singing May 2016 In this workshop we are learning the Italian version of the Auld lang syne (Valzer delle candele), the song chosen by all partners as a Farewell song of our project. We have learnt it also in English. We have also learnt an Italian song 'Volare', famous all over the world and become a symbol of our country, we would like to sing it with our friends in the next mobility. Friends of the world We have written this song thinking about the experience we are having, it talks about the happiness we are feeling meeting students from other countries and sharing this project activities with them. We are students, we stay with you we are happy to meet you! All together in this place To have a wonderful Stay We are students, We like school And we’re happy To stay with you Beautiful days Run fast away but we’ll meet You again Thanks for all Friends of the world This song is just for you All. 92 WORKSHOP 11 – Meeting a survivor of the Dachau concentration camp 27th January 2017 On 27th January, on the occasion of the Holocaust Memorial Day, we have guested in our school a special person. His name is Antonio Iacuzzo, he is a survivor of the Dachau concentration camp. Antonio is a sculptor, he has created lots of beautiful wooden sculptures. 93 This in the photo is one of his works. It has been really touching to hear the story of his terrible days in the camp. We have asked him lots of questions at the end he has told us to feel really lucky to be still alive. We have greeted Antonio with the wonderful song "La vita è bella",sung by our schoolmates of primary school. 94 WORKSHOP 12 – Cooking February 2017 These are two typical Italian deserts that we make especially at Carnival! 95 WORKSHOP 13 – Carnival 28th February 2017 It's Carnival, one of the most famous festivals in our country. Everywhere in Italy, in this day, people wear funny clothes, prepare masks parades and celebrate this festival dancing and eating a lot of food! At our school we have worn our costumes and we have visited all the classes of the institute, singing, making jokes and having lot of fun! 97 WORKSHOP 1 – Archaeological Museum in Biskupin 14th November 2015 Pupils from our school went on a trip to Biskupin on 14th November 2015. They took part in a craft workshop. They learned to make jewellery from copper wires. Am 14 November sind die Schüler aus unserer Schule nach Biskupin gefahren. Sie haben teil an handwerklichen Workshops teilgenommen. Sie haben gelernt, wie man früher Schmück gemacht hat. Dnia 14 listopada 2015 roku uczniowie naszej szkoły wyruszyli w podróż do Biskupina. Uczestniczyli w warsztatach rzemieślniczych. Nauczyli się robid biżuterię z drutów miedzianych, tak jak robiono to dawno temu.. Later, they visited the Archaeological Museum and old settlements. They could see how people lived in those days. 99 They took part in a weaving workshop. 100 WORKSHOP 2 – Visit of the Museum of the Origins of the Polish state in Gniezno 2nd December 2015 Pupils from Gimnazjum w Zespole Szkolno-Przedszkolnym in Mielżyn on the 2nd December 2015 visited the Museum of the Origins of the Polish State in Gniezno. They took part in a Christmas workshop. They created their own Nativity Scenes. Am zweiten Dezember 2015 haben die Schüler aus Gymnasium in Mielżyn das Museum der Anfänge des Polnischen Staates in Gniezno besucht. Sie haben teil an Weihnachts-Workshops genommen und haben eigene Weihnachtskrippen gebildet. Dnia 2 grudnia 2015 roku uczniowie z Gimnazjum w Zespole Szkolno-Przedszkolnym w Mielżynie odwiedzili Muzeum Początków Paostwa Polskiego w Gnieźnie. Wzięli udział w warsztatach świątecznych i stworzyli własne szopki bożonarodzeniowe. 101 Later, they visited the museum. 102 Then, pupils took part in an audiovisual show. They could see reconstructions of medieval fortified settlements, tenth century defence ramparts, as well as military and daily use objects from the early centuries of the Polish state. Die Schüler haben auch an einer audiovisuellen Darstellung teilgenommen. Sie könnten die Rekonstruktion von mittelalterlichen Befestigung der Verteidigungsmauern von X Jahrhundert sehen. Sie haben auch militärische Gegenstände und Alltagssachen gesehen, die aus den ersten Jahreszeiten des Polnischen Staates kommen. Uczniowie wzięli również udział w audiowizualnym show. Mogli oni zobaczyd rekonstrukcje średniowiecznych fortyfikacji, murów obronnych z X wieku, a także przedmiotów wojskowych i codziennego użytku pochodzących z pierwszych wieków istnienia Paostwa Polskiego.
