Nach wie vor bergen Seilgärten mit herkömmlichen Selbstsicherungen das Risiko, dass sich Besucher versehentlich komplett aus dem Sicherungssystem ausklinken. EDELRID schließt diese Sicherheitslücke mit dem revolutionären Smart Belay - einem System miteinander kommunizierender Rollenkarabiner: Ist der eine Karabiner offen, so erkennt das der andere Karabiner und blockiert - bei produktgerechter Anwendung - den Öffnungsmechanismus bis der erste Karabiner wieder auf dem Sicherheitsseil eingehängt und verriegelt ist. Erst dann kann der andere Karabiner umgehängt werden. Ein versehentliches Komplettaushängen ist somit praktisch nicht möglich. Der Vorteil: mehr Sicherheit für die Besucher, weniger Risiko für die Betreiber. Die Karabinerrollen sind für die Seilrutsche (Zipp-Line) ausgelegt und ersetzen die Doppelrolle. Die herausragende Ergonomie des Smart Belays erlaubt auch Kinderhänden eine einfache Bedienung. Optional ist das Smart Belay mit Bandfalldämpfer (6 KN) erhältlich. SMART BELAY Smart Belay - A revolution in the self belaying product sector. Belaying with conventional self protection systems still carries the risk that the park visitors can completely detach themselves from the safety system. EDELRID has closed this safety hole with the revolutionary Smart Belay. A system of communicating, interconnected pulley carabiners. If one carabiner is open the other carabiner realizes this, and when being utilized properly - will not open until the other carabiner is clipped and closed on the safety cable. Only then using the accepted utilization methods the other carabiner can be unclipped. Therefore an accidental complete unclipping is virtually impossible. The advantage is increased safety for the visitor, less risk and more peace of mind for the operator. The pulley carabiners are designed specifically for zip lines and replace the double pulley. The slick ergonomic design of the Smart Belay allows easy operation by children and adults alike. Umhängen 1.3 Bei einem geöffneten Karabiner bleibt der andere Karabiner verriegelt. Die Karabinerkommunikation erfolgt dabei über den speziell ausgelegten Bowdenzug. Der geöffnete Karabiner wird nun auf das Sicherungsseil einbzw. umgehängt. Verriegeln 1.4 Der eingehängte Karabiner wird durch Zug am Karabiner nach unten verriegelt. Es erfolgt ein, auch für den Trainer am Boden deutlich vernehmbares „Klick“-Geräusch. Zudem ist auch der Hebel sichtbar geschlossen und ermöglicht eine optische Kontrolle auch aus der Entfernung. Nun kann der zweite Karabiner, wie vorab beschrieben, geöffnet und ins Stahlsicherungsseil eingehän gt und verriegelt werden 2.1 - 2.4. Sind beide Karabiner geschlossen, befindet sich das Smart Belay-System in der Neutralstellung, d.h. einer von beiden Karabinern lässt sich öffnen (Richtungsunabhängigkeit im Parcours zwischen den Übungen). Die weitere Selbstsicherung des Teilnehmers erfolgt fortlaufend nach dem oben beschriebenen EUV-Prinzip. UTR-Principle Unlock: 1.1 - 1.2 One carabiner is unlocked by applying pressure with the thumb to the green button followed by squeezing the black trigger with the fingers (the pressure required is low and suitable for children). Tranfer: 1.3 While one carabiner is open the other remains locked and cannot be opened. The carabiner communication takes place using a specially designed internal cable. The open carabiner can be transfered to the safety cable. Relock: 1.4 The carabiner can be locked by pulling down the carabiner. In addition to the visible closure of the lever there is a clearly audible „clicking“ sound (also useful for the coach on the ground). The second carabiner can now be opened and attached to the safety cable and locked 2.1 - 2.4. When both carabiners are closed, the Smart Belay system is in the neutral position, i.e. either one of the carabiners can be opened (allows directional freedom of movement on the course and between exercises). Self-belaying and moving through the course by the participant comes naturally using the UTR Principle. ADVENTURE PARKS 7 Transport Das Smart Belay gehört zur persönlichen Schutzausrüstung (PSA) eines jeden Teilnehmers und ist daher stets vor Schmutz, Staub und Feuchtigkeit zu schützen. Ist das Smart Belay durch den Besucher kurzzeitig nicht in Gebrauch, empfiehlt EDELRID für den Transport im Park die Smart Belay–Holster. Alternativ kann das Smart Belay auch über die Schultern gelegt werden. Mitführen im Park Für das korrekte Mitführen im Parcours sind beide Karabiner geschlossen, das Smart Belay wird auf einer Seite am Kopf vorbei, vor dem Körper, zwischen den Armen geführt. Es sollte darauf geachtet werden dass die Äste des Verbindungsmittels parallel zueinander laufen und in sich nicht verdreht sind. Seilrutsche Das Smart Belay kann zudem als Doppelrollsystem für Seilrutschen eingesetzt werden. Hier zeichnet es sich vor allem durch seine hohe Laufruhe aus. Die Sicherungsmethode erfolgt wie in allen anderen Aktionssystemen nach dem EUV-Prinzip. Vor dem Start ist darauf zu achten, dass beide Karabiner geschlossen, die Äste des Verbindungsmittels parallel zueinander laufen und in sich nicht verdreht sind. Vor dem Start sollte sich der Teilnehmer mit Sorgfalt ins Gurtsystem setzen und somit Zug auf das auf Verbindungsmittel aufbauen, anschließend kann der Start der Seilrutsche selbständig erfolgen. Transport The Smart Belay belongs to the personal protective equipment of the participant and should be protected from dust and humidity. Before start always make sure that both carabiners are closed, the lanyard leashes run parallel to each other and don’t become twisted.
